De Zalze’s Golf Couse
De Zalze stands as one of South Africa's most captivating golf estates, graced by its stunning location outside Stellenbosch, adorned by picturesque mountain vistas. Designed by Peter Matkovich, the course is notable for its diverse range of holes, tranquil landscapes, and exceptional conditioning. While fairways are generously spacious, precision is required for approach shots to the greens. Three of the par 3s are vigilantly guarded by water hazards. The course features strategic risk-and-reward par 5s, notably the 17th where the river creates a shallow ravine before the green. Recent changes enhanced the 14th par 5, with Table Mountain in the backdrop. A group of sizable bunkers in the fairway provides strategic options, catering to long hitters favoring either side.
